Education and Community Outreach
Guild Docent Anne Marie Greco tells Teague Middle School students about Rigoletto.
A major component of the Guild's mission is education, introducing
both children and adults to the world of opera. Several programs have
been developed to meet these goals. The Houston community is encouraged
to take part in these events as spectators or volunteers.
The Guild currently supports the following programs:
In addition to these ongoing programs, the Guild supports special events such as last year's "Your Child and Music Seminar."
Your Child and Music Seminar
In September, 2002, the Houston Grand Opera Guild presented a seminar, "Your Child and Music". The event was held at St. John's School.
