Work at the Boutique
The HGO Guild Boutique has become a major guild fundraiser
Opera Boutique Staff help customers with purchases, stock displays, and set up and dismantle the boutique fixtures. No experience is necessary. All you need is a friendly face and the will to work. If you have a hankering for retail or if you just like to be the first to know about the newest fashion accessories, CDs, DVDs, books for children and adults, you should look into volunteering with the boutique. The Boutique is open at every opera performance in the Wortham Theater starting an hour before the performance and during intermission. The Boutique is the largest fundraiser for the Opera Guild and supports education activities and provides Studio scholarships.
All Guild members are eligible to volunteer in the Boutique. Initial team sign-up usually takes place at the Volunteer Gathering each spring, and new volunteers are always welcome to join throughout the year.
